I had conducted experiments with MonetDb circa 2007 in a Financial services context after the paper came out and couldnt establish conclusively what you've just demonstrated. The BSBM results are very impressive as well.

Do you have benchmark results for V7 on LUBM and Sp2B as well or expect to publish these shortly? I'm particularly interested in the unbound or late-bound predicate use cases and how a column-store architecture would help in such scenarios (I've read the 'not all swans are white paper' as well :-) )
